The following Pay is suggested for the Postmaster Cadre Officials

The following is the allowances suggested for the Postmaster Cadre officials.
Allowances for the Post
Postmaster Cadre I
1.     House Rent Allowance                               :  30% of basic pay
2.     Supervisory / Caretaking allowance             :  50 % of the grade Pay of the Cadre
3.     Transport Allowance                                  :  2500/- ( advance to be hiked by 20% every year)
4.     Small Family Norms                                   :  750/-  per month with DA

Postmaster Cadre II
1.     House Rent Allowance                                : 30% of basic pay
2.     Supervisory / Caretaking allowance              : 50 % of the Grade Pay of the Cadre
3.     Transport Allowance                                   : 2500/-( advance to be hiked by 20% every year)
4.     Small Family Norms                                   : 1500/- per month with DA

Postmaster Cadre III
1.     House Rent Allowance                                : 30% of basic pay
2.     Supervisory / Caretaking allowance              : 50 % of the Grade Pay of the Cadre
3.     Transport Allowance                                   : 2500/-( advance to be hiked by 20% every year)
4.     Small Family Norms                                    : 2250/-  per month with DA

Other Suggestions to the various aspects for the employees

1.     Annual Increments for the cadre                       :  10 %

2.     Transfer Grants
Lump sum Transfer Grant                                            : 2 times of  basic pay
Lump sum transfer Grant
 (with change of Residence within 8 kms                 : 1 time of Basic pay
3.     Advance of salary for transfer
For transfer within city limits                                      : 1 month basic pay
For transfer more than 8 kms                                     : 3 months basic pay
4.     Transport of house hold for transfer                 : Actual expenditure incurred for conveyance

5.     Leave

1.     Earned Leave                                                            : 50 days per year
2.     Half Pay Leave                                                         : 30 days per year
3.     Family Care Leave for Male employees                       : 25 days per year
4.     Medical Leave with Certificate                                    : 20 days per year

6.     Retirement Benefits

1.     Accumulation of Earned leave : Maximum accumulated by an employee

7.     Retirement Gratuity

1.     Full month pay for the entire number of years of service

8.     Commutation

1.     50 % of basic to be allowed for commutation for all employees without any fitment table

9.     Advances

1.     Motor cycle                          :  On Road Cost of the vehicle

2.     Motor car                             :  On road cost of the vehicle ( to be made eligible for all class of employees )

                                                                                      i.      MTS  staff -  Eligible for small Car within Rs 3,00,000/-
                                                                                    ii.      Group C    -   Eligible for cars up to Rs 5,00,000/-

3.     Festival Advances
                                                                                      i.      For all staffs -  Rs 15000/- in twelve equal installments.

4.     Cycle advance                     : Cost of the Cycle ( maximum Rs 5000/-).

5.     Advance of Tuition Fees -    : Rs 25000/-  
                  ( To be adjusted with the CEA bills submitted by the employees )

6.     Computer advance              : Actual cost of the Computer..

7.     LTC advance            : 

a.     Should be sanctioned 120 days in advance
b.     Train : For MTS and Group C employees – Any Class up to AC – II tier
c.      Flight : For MTS and Group C employees – Economy class fare ( restricted to the maximum fare of AC –II tier )

8.     Deputation allowance and advances.

a.     Within the same city ie 8 kms                  
                              : Rs 150/- for food
b.     Within the same city deputed for more than 1 month           
                              : 10% of the basic as Deputation Allowance
c.      Deputed for Training                                                                      
                              : Actual bills plus Rs 100/- per day
d.     Deputed for work more than 8 kms                                            
                              : Rs 250/- per day plus Rs 100/- for food
e.     Deputed for work more than 1 month  (8Km and above )       
                              : 15% of the basic as deputation allowance
f.       Advance for deputation                                                                 :                            : 100% of the eligible fares and fees


9.     House building Advance

a.     Irrespective of the Pay limits
                                                                                      i.      MTS employees                      :           15 lakhs
                                                                                    ii.      Group C employees                 :           25 lakhs

10.  Allowance for adopting Single income in family.

a.     10 % of basic pay as Family Saving Fund accounted separately along with GPF ,  payable on retirement with interest.
